Original lithograph card with a color illustration on front of a young boy giving a young girl a white envelope sealed with a red heart, possibly a Valentine. The boy wears a red cap, blue coat, and beige pants and boots. The girl wear a blue dress and bow in her hair with white polka dots, a white apron, and stockings with shoes. No date, circa 1890s-1910s. 3" x 5." Card is virtually pristine and intact except for slight corner and edge wear and some age toning and offsetting on back. A Fine copy. This card bears some resemblance to trade cards, which are antique business cards and the predecessors of modern trading cards. Trade cards were most common during the late nineteenth century..
